Howard Schacter has served as Chief Communications Officer of MariMed since 2021. He brings a wealth of communications experience to his role in leading all external and internal communications to key company stakeholders, working to continually strengthen MariMed’s brand reputation, visibility, product sales, and retail store consumer traffic. Prior to joining MariMed, Mr. Schacter served for three years as head of communications for another leading multi-state cannabis operator, Acreage Holdings. Prior to entering the cannabis industry, Mr. Schacter counseled companies including Live Nation, Facebook, McDonald's, Microsoft, Spotify, and many others as a senior executive at leading agencies, and earned a Brandweek Marketer of the Year award for creating and promoting a portfolio of licensed celebrity and athlete brands for apparel retailer Steve & Barry's.
