Arijit Das is the Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Asset Innovation Technology at Northern Trust, where he leads the charge in digitalizing assets through advanced technologies, including distributed ledger technology (DLT), machine learning, and artificial intelligence. With over 30 years in the financial services industry and 15 years at Northern Trust, Arijit has been pivotal in pioneering the world’s first blockchain-based private equity solution and enabling custody for the first DLT-based fractional bond exchange. He is a co-inventor on nine blockchain-related patents, showcasing his deep commitment to innovation in digital assets. Before joining Northern Trust, Arijit held leadership roles at US Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Bank of Montreal, managing development and infrastructure teams. He has a Master’s degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology. He is pursuing a Master of Science in Law at Northwestern University in Chicago, broadening his expertise in the legal landscape of emerging technologies.
