Mitchell Jones is the Founder & CEO of Lava, a fintech startup based in New York City that is building the financial layer for AI. Lava enables developers and companies to interact with any AI model or application—whether it’s an API, agent, or hosted interface—through a single platform. With Lava, businesses can issue credits, track usage, and get paid across any pricing model, creating the infrastructure that powers how the internet pays for and accesses AI.

Before Lava, Mitchell founded Lendtable, which helped tens of thousands of customers save more than $40 million for retirement by providing cash advances for their 401(k) and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) matches. Lendtable raised $35 million in combined venture capital and debt.

Earlier in his career, Mitchell worked at Facebook and Dropbox, and interned at Goldman Sachs while studying at Yale University. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, he’s passionate about building systems that make finance and technology work together seamlessly to unlock new possibilities.
