Speaker Bio
Michael Terpin is founder and CEO of Transform Ventures, a blockchain investment and advisory firm, and he serves as CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Supercycle Genesis Partners, LP, the first Bitcoin-only, algorithmic crypto hedge fund with a thesis of selling bitcoin at the top of each cycle and buying back more at the bottom.

Michael is a highly accomplished executive, with over 35 years as a serial entrepreneur and investor, leading to numerous successful exits and the establishment of his Puerto Rico based family office, Transform Capital. Terpin is also an early Bitcoin investor and thought leader, referred to as “the Godfather of Crypto” by CNBC for his early marketing and advisory of leading blockchain projects including Ethereum and Tether. He co-founded BitAngels (2013) and BitAngels Fund 1 (2014), which invested $1,000,000 in the Ethereum crowd sale at thirty cents per token.

Michael has been responsible for the development of the “Four Seasons of Bitcoin” model in 2015, and he is the author of the critically acclaimed book Bitcoin Supercycle (Skyhorse Publishing, 2024), which correctly predicted early November 2024 all-time high for Bitcoin.

Prior to his involvement in digital assets, Terpin founded Market Wire (now Globe Newswire), currently a $500 million division of Apollo Global Management, and was an early leader in the marketing of the consumer Internet, including the launch of The Motley Fool, America Online Greenhouse, and Earthink, as well as dozens of other prominent Internet brands. He holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from SUNY at Buffalo and a dual bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University, where he has served on the board of advisors for the prestigious Newhouse School of Public Communications since 2000. Terpin is also considered the pioneer of the large and vibrant bitcoin and crypto community in Puerto Rico, having received the first investor decree in this category in early 2016.
