Peter oversees the investment team at Algert Global and serves as both Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to the founding of the firm in 2002, Peter was a Managing Director at Barclays Global Investors (BGI) and served as the Global Head of Research for their stock selection strategies. Before joining BGI, Peter was a Director at KMV Corporation where he worked in the areas of empirical modelling and management of credit risk. He holds a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business with a concentration in Finance and has served as an assistant professor at U.C. Davis as well as a visiting scholar at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Peter earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
