Lou Magazzu has used his past experience as a former county Freeholder (Commission) Director, municipal attorney, seasoned litigator, development attorney, and Secretary to a publicly traded cellular telephone company, to represent nearly two dozen applicants for municipal approval for medical and recreational cannabis licenses in New Jersey. His clients have ranged from micro retail startups to multi-state operators and have included cultivation, manufacturing, retail, and distribution applicants.

Lou has received top leadership awards from the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, the New Jersey Association of Counties and the Southern New Jersey Freeholders Association. Lou has been an advisor to Governors, Senators, Congressmen, state, local and county elected and appointed officials from both of the major political parties.

Lou was honored by the Vineland, New Jersey NAACP for his work in the business and political arenas. He has been regularly named on the Insider NJ Cannabis 100 Powerlist as well as “Best of the Best Attorney” by the Daily Journal’s “Official Community Choice Awards”. In 2023 he was part of Cannabis Insiders 23 people, places and trends in N.J. cannabis to watch in 2023”.
